Welcome to a world of opportunity at Roundswell Community Primary Academy
Starting life as a new school in September 2020, Roundswell Community Primary Academy opened in a brand new 21st century building with nursery pupils (3 to 4 years of age) and pupils in the reception class only. Our experienced staff are dedicated to making sure we nurture and support your child through the early years and eventually onto secondary school. The first children at the school started on a wonderful adventure together and will rise through the school to become year 6 children. We currently have Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 children.
With an internationally minded curriculum and a vision to deliver outstanding education, the new Primary Academy at Roundswell will introduce children to a world of opportunity. Through engaging pupils in a modern, exciting, internationally-minded curriculum, Roundswell Community Primary Academy will enable children to have a modern outlook on the world, achieve high standards of learning and be secondary-ready.
Supported by the Tarka Learning Partnership to empower young people through learning in North Devon.
At Roundswell Community Primary Academy, we will strive to provide a caring but disciplined environment in which we hope your child will fulfil their potential and develop a positive attitude to learning. We will provide a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum, as well as many extra-curricular opportunities. Each child is unique and our aim is that the school recognises this through the many opportunities that will be available to children both inside and outside the classroom.
We will aim to work in partnership with you. The role of a parent is critical in a child’s early years, and so we hope to work with you and your family to develop your child’s potential. We will provide highly trained and committed staff and cheerful, well-displayed classrooms that are conducive to effective teaching and learning, in a modern, purpose built, 21st-century school.
Academic, sporting and artistic performance are important, but just as important are the values that go with it. We aim to be a highly inclusive school, which seeks to promote good manners and a consideration and understanding of others within our locality and the wider world.
